Agnes Penelope Mousseau,
January 27, 1941 – October 15, 2026

Agnes Penelope Mousseau, 85, of Plattsburgh, New York, passed away at home on October 15, 2026.
She was born on January 27, 1941, in Dannemora, New York, to Everett and Mary Peno.

She graduated from Saranac High School and attended nursing school. She worked as a cashier at SUNY Plattsburgh
for many years.
Penny was an outgoing woman who could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. She had a
strong will and a stubborn streak, and she was never afraid to be herself. Having once called Florida
home, she enjoyed returning to its sunny beaches to soak up the sunshine and reconnect with old friends.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she attended church every Saturday. She also enjoyed
Mexican cuisine and had a Christmas tradition all her own: cooking spaghetti dinner every year so the
family wouldn't have to eat turkey for two holidays in a row. It was a tradition that reflected her own way
of doing things and will remain a memorable part of her family's Christmas memories. She will be
remembered for her outgoing nature, her strong spirit, and the many memories she leaves behind with
those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Gittins and Rosemary Bruch. Survivors include her
husband, Ronald Mousseau; daughter, Christina Russell; and grandchildren, Kirk Russell, Michael
Russell, and Kaley Cadigan.

A memorial service will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, New York, on October 21, 2026,
from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
