Allen C Laplant

Plattsburgh Mr. Allen C. LaPlant, 82, of, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the UVM Health Network CVPH, Plattsburgh. He was born in Waterbury, Vermont on June 20, 1933 the son of Oral and Alice (Patterson) LaPlant. Allen served in the U. S. Army as a sergeant from 1953-1955. He was a truck driver for T & T Trucking of Beekmantown. Allen enjoyed puttering and taking drives. He was a member of the American Legion Post #20. Allen predeceased by his parents, his wife Virginia (Silk) LaPlant, a son James Oral LaPlant, his siblings; Ralph LaPlant and a son-in-law Christopher Garrant. Allen is survived by a daughter Jodi (LaPlant) Garrant and her companion Paul Mongillo of Plattsburgh, a son Allen LaPlant and his wife Deborah of Plattsburgh, a sister Chanda Torrey of Waterbury Center, VT, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday, January 11, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. Interment with military honors will be held at a later date at the Waterbury Cemetery, Waterbury Center, Vermont.
