Anita M. (Osher) Brown, 89, formerly of Monty Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011, at her home in Hampton, Virginia. She was born in Redford, NY on February 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Strack) Barie. Anita worked at Mount Assumption Institute and later worked at Plattsburgh Air Force Base retiring 1975. She was a parishioner at Our Lady Victory Church prior to moving to Virginia in 1995. Anita loved spending time with her family and her church. She was predeceased by her first husband, Clarence Osher, a daughter Judith Osher Koziak, a son in law Edward Koziak, two brothers; George Barie, Isadore Barie, Charlie Barie and a sister Alice Maggy, Mary Barie. Anita is survived by her husband Robert Brown; a daughter, Diane Boglisch and her husband Charles of Morrisonville, a son Clarence Osher and his wife Mary Beth of Bellevue, OH, five grandchildren; Robert Schneider, C. J. Osher, Jodie Bushey and her husband Craig, Joshua Boglisch and Kristopher Osher, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Friday December 23, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh, burial will be later next year in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
