Arsene Michael Brodi

Arsene "Mike" Brodi, 77, of Plattsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at his home with his family by his side after a brief illness. He was born in Plattsburgh on February 11, 1949, the son of Michael and Beatrice Brodi.

Mike attended Our Lady of Victory School and would go on to graduate from Mount Assumption Institute in 1967. Mike went on to North Hudson College where he graduated with a degree in business. He worked at the family business Brodi's Bar in Plattsburgh. He later worked for Calkin's Plumbing until he took a job with the City of Plattsburgh in the Water and Sewer Department. Eventually he became superintendent of Public Works, retiring after 42 years.

Mike was a member of the Plattsburgh Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 1619 and the VFW Post 125 Auxiliary. He enjoyed horse racing, quick draw and scratch offs. Mike also enjoyed going to Saratoga Race Track and to Myrtle Beach.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Janice and Mary Helen and a sister-in-law Donna Brodi.

Mike is survived by his wife Donalda, his brother Steve Brodi and his wife Nina of Plattsburgh, his in-laws; Connie (Norbert) Neiderer of Plattsburgh, James Slattery of San Antonio, TX, Carrie (James) Frenya of Plattsburgh, Lori (Robert) Keever of Plattsburgh and Timothy Slattery of Plattsburgh, several niece, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday March 6, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the VFW Post 125 in Plattsburgh.

Inurnment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

Donations in Mike's memory may be to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or the Interfaith Food Self.
