Plattsburgh Arthur R. Bouvia, 79, of Military Turnpike, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Saturday September 28, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his family by his side. He was born to Lawrence and Gladys (Macey) Bouvia on April 4, 1934. Arthur married Arlene Hendrie on January 29, 1956. He retired from Imperial Wallcovering in Plattsburgh after 35 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Treadwells Mills. Arthur was an avid golfer, poker player, Bingo and horseshoes. His greatest spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother James Bouvia, a sister Shirley Santo and two sons; William and David Bouvia. Arthur is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlene Bouvia of Plattsburgh, his children; Cindy (Robert) McCorry, Athur Bouvia, Jr., Susan (Dan) Provost, Fay and her companion Art Osher and Kim Bouvia, four granddaughters; Zhana McCorry, Britney Bouvia, Miranda Bouvia And Tarah Bouvia, six grandsons; Derek Bouvia, Edward Bouvia, Jesse Mashtare, Josh Mashtare, Preston Bouvia, Brandon LaMere, seven great-grandchildren; Aaron Decoste, Jeslynn Mashtare, Kendra Mashtare, Adaline Mashtare, Zoey Mashtare, Ashton Moore and JaLynn Moore, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Calling hours will be held Thursday October 3, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, a funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
