Arthur J Hebert

Plattsburgh Mr. Arthur J. Hebert, 103, of Beekman Towers Plattsburgh, New York passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Booktouche, Canada on August 3, 1907 the son of Archie and Lena (LeBlance) Hebert. Arthur retired from Diamond International Paper Company where he had been a Mechanic Foreman for 50 years. He then worked at the Rent All Store for 6 years and then One Hour Dry Cleaners for 18 years. Arthur was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Senior Citizens and St. Peter's Church. Arthur was predeceased by a daughter Carol Hebert in 1977, his wife, Mattie Hebert in 2000, a grandson James M. Stiles in 2009 and his sisters Rita Walker, Germaine Whitman, Arlene Patrie and his brother Gerard Hebert. He is survived by a son Ronald Hebert and his wife Fay of Homestead, Florida, two daughters Lorraine Lancto and her husband Robert of Clifton Park, New York and Marilyn Stiles and her husband Willard "Bill" of Plattsburgh, New York, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends wishing may have Masses said in his memory or to the James M. Stiles Memorial Scholarship at Plattsburgh State University College.
