Bertha A. “Mim” Begore, 99, of Route 22 in Mooers, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by her side. She was born in Mooers Forks on October 31, 1920, the daughter of the late Oliver and Eliza (LaValley) Lafountain.
Bertha was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Church and was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann. She enjoyed going to camp, sitting on her porch, cooking and most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Lorraine Lafave of West Chazy, Leeward and Carlotta “Kitty” Begore of West Chazy, Barbara and Norman Jock of Ellenburg Center, Larry Begore and companion Donna LaRose of Ellenburg Depot, Sheila and Robert Davenport of West Chazy, a foster son; Daniel Konkoski, two foster daughters; Terry Quist and Brenda LeClaire;, 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and a very dear friend Cheryl Seymour.
Her husband Mark Begore , a son Garvin, 2 grandsons Mark Begore II and Randy Jock, a son in law Norman Lafave, a foster son Michael LeClaire and many brothers and sisters passed away earlier.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot.
