(Ret) Robert Clark “Corky” McLaughlin died 28 February 2019. She is survived by her three sons Robert Clark of Salt Lake City UT, Thomas O of Arlington TX and granddaughter Paige from Houston TX, and Richard Roland of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and grandsons Micheal and Kyle from Texas and a daughter Tamera Ann of Oldsmar, Florida. Beverly died from a stroke, a complication of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and high blood pressure due to a lifetime of smoking cigarettes.
She is survived by her Sister Sandra Rabideau Klyber and her late husband Charles Klyber with their children Keven, Korby, Karla and Kimee of Springfield IL. Her brother Richard and his wife Dixie and their children Douglas, Bonnie, Jackie their two late sons Tim and Gary of Springfield IL. Brother Gary Rabideau and his wife Karen, their children Kimberly and Steven of Plattsburgh NY. Brother Grant of Plattsburgh NY. Brother Roland and his wife Eta have preceded her in death, their children John, Daniel, and Jackie of Florida. Her sister Shirley and her husband Stanley Wood preceded her death, their sons Stanley Wood of Glens Falls NY and Steven Wood of Plattsburgh NY.
Beverly graduated from D'youville Academy in Plattsburgh NY. She married Corky McLaughlin in 1956. Corky was a bomber pilot in the Strategic Air Command stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. As a military family they relocated to and from Carswell AFB in Texas, Bunker Hill AFB in Indiana and Plattsburgh AFB, eventually retiring in Arlington Texas. In addition to raising three boys and a girl she volunteered for various charitable organizations in the military including the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. She loved bowling, flea markets, garage sales, estate auctions and a good cup of coffee. Much of her furniture and her full bookshelves were obtained on Saturday morning hunts. She used her considerable sewing skills to reupholster and refurbish her booty. During her lifetime she never lost her love of her home town and of the Adirondack Mountains.
Thanks to the considerable efforts and sacrifice of her sons Thomas and Richard, Beverly's last days were spent as she wished at home and not in an “Old Folks Home”.
