Beverly graduated from D'youville Academy in Plattsburgh NY. She married Corky McLaughlin in 1956. Corky was a bomber pilot in the Strategic Air Command stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. As a military family they relocated to and from Carswell AFB in Texas, Bunker Hill AFB in Indiana and Plattsburgh AFB, eventually retiring in Arlington Texas. In addition to raising three boys and a girl she volunteered for various charitable organizations in the military including the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. She loved bowling, flea markets, garage sales, estate auctions and a good cup of coffee. Much of her furniture and her full bookshelves were obtained on Saturday morning hunts. She used her considerable sewing skills to reupholster and refurbish her booty. During her lifetime she never lost her love of her home town and of the Adirondack Mountains.
Thanks to the considerable efforts and sacrifice of her sons Thomas and Richard, Beverly's last days were spent as she wished at home and not in an “Old Folks Home”.
