Bonnie C. Gonyo

Bonnie C. Gonyo, 75, of Plattsburgh passed away September 20, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Bonnie worked many jobs, most notably at Montgomery Ward and also as a bartender at the Plattsburgh VFW and the Plattsburgh Moose Lodge.

She is survived by her husband Bernard Gonyo, Jr of Plattsburgh, her son Justin (Leane) Trost of West Chazy, her daughter Shannon (Edmond) Hart of West Chazy, her step-daughter Tammy (Andy) Anderson of Macon, GA, her brother Barry Rougeau of Cadyville, her sister Jill Mercer of Smyrna, DE, grandchildren Mitchell Trost, Logan Hart, and Abby Hart, all from West Chazy, as well as 3 grandsons in Georgia, and 3 great-grandchildren also in Georgia. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mayfred (Hale) Rougeau, her older brother Robert Rougeau, and her younger brother Christopher Rougeau.

There will be no visitation or funeral Mass. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026 at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh, with Fr. William Reamer officiating.
