Carl E Lapierre

Carl E. LaPierre, 83, of Trombley Lane, Chazy, NY, passed away on Thursday January 7, 2016, at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Mooers, NY on October 14, 1932 the son of Gilbert and Clara (Parrotte) Boyea. Carl graduated from Chazy Central School and soon after enlisted in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged in December of 1953, Carl retuned to the North Country. He then went on to Plattsburgh State Teachers College where he graduated with a degree in education. Carl taught at Moriah Central School in Moriah, NY, retiring in 1987. After retiring Carl moved back to Chazy and would spend winters in Holiday, Florida. He played several instruments including the Organ and Piano and had a great interest in clocks. Carl enjoyed traveling, especially to places like Boldt Castle in the Thousand Islands and Hildene-The Lincoln Family Home in New Hampshire. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers; Ralph LaPierre, Calvin LaPierre, a sister, Marilyn Boland, a step brother Kenneth Boyea and two nephews Roger LaPierre and Kevin Boland. Carl is survived by his nieces and nephews; Susan LaPierre and her fiancé Glen of Plattsburgh, Thomas LaPierre and his wife Mary of Holiday, FL, Denver LaPierre and his wife Pat of North Canton, CT, Kandy Corelli, Kissimmee, FL, and Harold "Butch" Boland, Clyde, NY, several step nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Calling hours will be held on Sunday January 10, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be at a later in the year in Ingraham Cemetery.
