Carolyn A Keable

Carolyn Ann Keable passed away on September 8, 2026 at the age of 94.

She lived a joyful life that was filled with children, a quick wit, and a laugh to fill a room. She attended Plattsburgh State University before marrying James “Jim” Keable, her husband of 68 years. He died in 2020. They had eight children in quick succession in homes that welcomed many stray kids and animals over the years, including a raccoon with a broken leg. Carolyn played golf for many years in the area and enjoyed doing puzzles at home. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Berthe Brown Webb, and her sister, Doris Webb Neverett.

Carolyn is survived by her sons Mark (Ann), Jeff, James (Linda), Scott (Pam), Greg (Cesar Acosta), Ed (Scot Rogerson), John (Dana) and daughter, Mary Durocher (Bob), 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A Catholic Mass will be offered for Carolyn on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10 AM, at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh.

In lieu of flowers donations could be made to the Interfaith Food Shelf.
