Catherine M. Bell

Catherine M. Bell (Cathy, Cat) died at the CVPH SNF on July 19, 2025. She was born July 24, 1951 in Plattsburgh NY, the daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Carter) Bell.

Cathy was raised locally, primarily in Redford then moved south. She spent 25 years in Lynchburg VA before returning to this area to be closer to family.

Cathy worked as a waitress, car hop and cleaned at motels in her younger years. She loved being in nature, cats, birds, plants, shopping, and talking on the phone.

She is survived by daughters Andrea and Lajean Faircloth and granddaughter Seilia Lindquist of Pennsylvania, brothers Henry (Nancy) Bell of North Carolina, Frederick (Naomi)Bell of Plattsburgh, Clement Bell of Keeseville, sisters Rita Bell (companion Ralph Burnah) of Plattsburgh and Michelle Benedict, aunts Geraldine Ryan, Anna Bell, Veronica Polaski and Christine Allen, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her extended family of staff and residents at CVPH SNF.

Cathy’s family wishes to thank each and every one of you who provided for Cathy’s comfort and care for over 10 years.

Per her wishes, Cathy was cremated and her ashes will be buried with her daddy. A short graveside service will be held Thursday, August 14 at 1pm at the Assumption cemetery in Redford NY.
