Clarissa D. Stone, 92, of Robinson Terrace, Plattsburgh, Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Vilas Home in Plattsburgh. She was born in Rouses Point, NY on June 16, 1933, the daughter of Ernest and Kathleen (Stone) Rushford.
Clarissa enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, spending time with family and being the best Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend to everyone she knew.
Clarissa spent over 30 years working as a cafeteria manager in the Plattsburgh City School District.
She is survived by her brother Gerald Rushford, her children Charles Stone & his wife Janora (Maynard), Karen (Stone) Oles and her husband Dave, Lorry Stone, Bruce Stone, Starr (Stone) Burke, Brian Stone and his wife Jamie (McAuliffe), 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband Gordon Stone, her daughter Charlotte (Stone) Brady, 9 siblings, 2 grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday March 12, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 13, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be later in the year in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
