Crista J Matic

Crista “Crissy” Jeanette Matic, 40 of Altona, lost her battle with end stage liver disease on August 22, 2022 at Westchester Medical Center, but her big heart and epic stubbornness will never be forgotten.
Crissy was born on December 14th, 1981 in Sarasota, FL. She is predeceased by her father Douglas J. Campbell and survived by her mother Carolyn A. Campbell, along with three siblings: Tiffani Wood, Daniel Tetrick and Mendee Hight.
She was the loving and bossy fiancé to Scott Conto of 8 years, step mom to Kaylynn Conto, Baley Conto, Devin Conto and “nana” to four sweet grandchildren.
Crissy hated anything that included being hot , green vegetables, cooking, or staying late to any event, ever.
But she loved, so very big. Crissy had the biggest heart of anyone we know. Her fondness for the four letter word was legendary. She was honest to a fault, and you always knew where you stood with her, good or bad (some of our family is actually still wondering). She was an amazing aunt, kept every niece’s secret. She loved her 3 cats, Kasie, Pudge and Callie- the last in the long line of furry demons who shared her bed and affections. She loved spending time with her family above all else, and was always the glue who tried to keep this dysfunctional crew together.
Her time on this earth was much too short, and she will live on in her loved ones hearts forever.
