David E. Van Stockum, 53, of the Spellman Road, Beekmantown passed away suddenly Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Amarillo, Texas January 31, 1966 the son William and Carol (Walker) Van Stockum. David drove tractor trailer for HP Hood for thirty five years until they closed the Plattsburgh Division this year and was currently driving for UPS. He enjoyed working and would help anyone at any time.
David was predeceased by his mother-in-law Patricia Mooney.
He is survived by his wife of twenty seven years Michelle “Shelly” (Mooney) Van Stockum, his children; Brandon Van Stockum and his girlfriend Carissa Boire, Amanda Van Stockum and her boyfriend Joshua Drollette, his parents William and Carol Van Stockum, his siblings, William (Karmella) Van Stockum, III, Patricia (Fred) Ludwig, Kenneth Van Stockum, his father-in-law Larry Mooney and Sheila Facteau, a sister-in-law Heather Mooney and fiancé Paul Yost, brother-in-law Michael (Cassie) Mooney, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Beekmantown Fire Department and EMS.
