Plattsburgh Mrs. Delia R. Trombley, 91, formerly of Truman Ave. in Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh. She was born in Morrisonville on March 22, 1920, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Gebo) Duprey. Delia was a former member of St. Peter's Church and enjoyed BINGO, sewing, cooking, quilt making, and gardening when she was younger. She is survived by a daughter and son in law: Barbara and John Gibson of Plattsburgh, three sons and daughters in law; Albert and Eileen Barcomb of West Chazy, Alton and Beverly Barcomb of Altona, Francis and Flo Barcomb of Peru, a daughter in law; Mary Barcomb of Naugatuck, Ct., three sisters; Mary Downs , Catherine Laforest and Rita Racette, all of Plattsburgh, 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren ;her step children; Marie and Arthur Maggy of Morrisonville, Marion Rivers of Lockport, N.Y., Janet St. John of Houlton, Maine, Ronald and Janet Trombley of Morrisonville, Jerry Trombley of Chesapeake, Va., Gordon Trombley of Saratoga Springs, Pauline Trombley of Georgia, 39 step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, , several step great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Francis Barcomb on May 11, 1961 and her second husband Leon Trombley on February 10, 1981, whom she married June 24, 1972. Her parents, Walter and Elizabeth Duprey, two sons Adrian Barcomb who passed away December 2, 2001 , Earl Barcomb who died in infancy, granddaughter Sharon Gibson , a grandson Christopher Barcomb who died in infancy, twin great granddaughters Carolyn and Christine LeClair, daughter in law; Roberta Barcomb, six brothers, Edward Duprey, Abram Duprey, Walter Duprey, Jr., Fred Duprey, Leo Duprey, Richard Duprey, and four sisters; Mina McHie, Della Bell, Ruby Gonyo and Carrie Goss also passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, July 2, 2011 at St. Louis de France Church in Sciota. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
