Morrisonville, NY - Diane M. Baxter, a beloved sister and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at the age of 82. Born and raised in Plattsburgh, NY, Diane dedicated her life to bringing joy and sweetness into the world, both through her warm spirit and her delicious baked goods.

Diane was born on Monday, September 6th, 1943, to Harold Varno and Grace Baxter, who predecease her. She grew up in Plattsburgh, where she cultivated a love for baking and friendship. A proud graduate of Plattsburgh High School, Diane later took her talents to the ovens of Dairy Queen in Plattsburgh, where she crafted delightful treats for many years. Her pastries, much like her spirit, were enjoyed by many and will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of tasting them.

Outside of her work, Diane loved spending time with her sister, Brenda Dame, with whom she shared a passion for playing cards and bingo. She loved Brenda's dog Gizmo. Their sisterly bond was an anchor in her life, bringing laughter and companionship that she cherished deeply. Brenda remains in Plattsburgh and holds Diane's memory close in her heart.

A dedicated member of her community, Diane leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and light. Her family and friends will always remember her as a gentle spirit with a heart full of love.
