Diane A Bushey

Diane A. Bushey, 65, of Plattsburgh, NY unexpectedly passed into the hands of our Lord on March 22, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY. Born in Plattsburgh on August 19, 1952, Diane was the daughter of Ernest and Theresa (Bechard) Ducharme. Diane was previously employed at Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories in Rouses Point, NY. She considered raising her three children to be the most important aspect of her life. Diane's greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, who she cherished deeply as they were the center of her life. She also enjoyed vacations to Las Vegas, trips to the casino and camping with her family. Diane is survived by her husband of 23 years, Robert J. Bushey, Jr., whom she married on July 9, 1994 at St. Anne's Shrine, Isle La Motte, VT; daughter Vicki (Cris) Babbie of Champlain, NY; son Patrick (and fiancée Madison Moran) of Essex Junction, VT; and son Christopher of Plattsburgh. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Owen, Alise and Sierra Babbie of Champlain. Survived also by her siblings: Veronica (Kenneth) Dupere of Coopersville, NY; Gloria (Lawrence) Fadden of Swanton, VT; Bruce Ducharme (and life partner Cornell Rowbotham) of Las Vegas, NV; Wayne Ducharme (and fiancée Mary Bulriss) of Plattsburgh; Brian Ducharme (and partner Pam Roberts) of South Burlington, VT. In addition, survivors include mother-in-law Leonora Bushey of Plattsburgh; sister-in-law Jill Howard of Gansevoort, NY; sister-in-law Kathy (Frank) McGrath of Plattsburgh; Goddaughter Taylor Durocher of Morrisonville, NY; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her loving parents Ernest and Theresa (Bechard) Ducharme and father-in-law Robert J. Bushey, Sr. A private Mass will be celebrated for Diane at St. Peter's Church. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Coopersville.
