Diane M. Stone

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Marie Stone of West Chazy, NY, on November 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 1, 1958, in Malone, NY, to Gertrude Collins Santor and Lawrence Santor, Diane spent much of her life in Dover Plains, NY, before returning upstate to West Chazy, where she made her home for the past 25 years. She retired from Schluter Systems in 2022. She worked tirelessly throughout her life and will be remembered for her pride, kindness, and unwavering love for others. Her deep love for animals was evident to everyone who entered her home.

Her greatest pride and joy were her children. She is survived by Sean Brunow (Valerie Brunow) of Dover Plains, NY; Kristy Lane of Sharon, CT; and Robert Stone of West Chazy, NY, along with her beloved granddaughters, Sadie and Sloane Brunow. She is also survived by her brothers, Dennis Santor (Linda O’Neil Santor) and Dale Santor, as well as several nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, she formed many cherished friendships from her years in Dover to her time in Plattsburgh, especially with her beloved “Golden Girls.” A celebration of life will take place at a later date and time.
