Doris A Cody

Doris A. Cody, 80, of Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 24, 1940, the daughter of Alfred and Rose (Meseck) Burdo.
Doris had a green-thumb and could be often found outside in her garden. She was a skilled baker, providing daily treats for her family. Her family meant everything to her, particularly her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters; Jean CodyMiller and Debra Sutphen, her grandchildren; Scott Miller, Kasey Kusalonis, great-granddchildren: Baylie-Anne and Odin Miller, Gavin and Payten Kusalonis, her siblings; Esterine King, Wilfred Burdo, Valedia Seymour, Leeward Burdo, Betty Sears, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her son, James W. Cody, her grandson Keith Cody, her sister Della Sample, and her son-in-law, Terry Sutphen.
Calling hours will be from 2:00-4:30pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 4:30pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in the Town of Ellenburg Mausoleum.
