Eleanor G Lambert

Eleanor G. Lambert, 92 of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of the North Country.. She was born in Plattsburgh on April 1, 1928, the daughter of the late George and Grace (Duquette) Brown. She married Leroy L. Lambert on July 1, 1947.
Eleanor was employed at Imperial Wallcoverings for many years. After retiring, she and her husband spent their winters in their home in Tucson, Arizona. More recently, they stayed at their home in Plattsburgh. She enjoyed traveling, camping , cooking and more importantly spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons and daughters in law; Mark and Debbie Lambert of Plattsburgh, Michael and Sharon Lambert of North Carolina, one daughter and son in law; Marjorie and Kenneth Duprey of Plattsburgh, six grandchildren; Tom Lambert, Jason (Jennifer) Duprey, Melissa Hamel (Scott Mitchell), Jared (Heather) Lambert, Kristan (Steve) Young, and Kyle (Lisa) Lambert, nine great granddaughters and one great grandson. She was the last surviving sibling from a family of nine.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Leroy Lambert in 2012, her parents, and several siblings.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. Face masks will be required. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be offered to Hospice of the North Country. The family wishes to thank Hospice and her caregivers for the excellent care she received.
