Elizabeth "Jane" Sayah

Elizabeth "Jane" Sayah, 79, of Forge Street, Altona, NY, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Altona, NY on February 18, 1938, the daughter of Peter and Aletha (Belair) Trudo. Jane graduated from Altona Central School in Altona, NY. She worked as an Account Clerk at Altona Correctional, retiring in 2001. Jane married Gerald Sayah at Holy Angels Church in Altona on October 17, 1970. She was a member of the advisory boards at Altona Correctional Facility, Twin Oaks Senior Housing, and the Altona Public Library. Jane was a member of Holy Angels Church and choir, and was very devoted to her family, community, and church. Jane was predeceased by her parents, a brother Armond Trudo and two sisters-in-law Janifer and Joanne, a sister-in-law Sr. Elizabeth Sayah, a brother-in-law Irving Sayah, Jr. and two sisters-in law Geraldine and Geraldine, and a brother-in-law William Fagan. She is survived by her loving husband Gerald Sayah, a daughter Lori Ann Kashorek and her husband Douglas of West Chazy, a grandson Timothy, two granddaughters Rachel and Rebekah Kashorek, and Madison Beery whom she loved as such, a brother Carlton Trudo and his wife Elizabeth "Liz" of Altona, a sister-in-law Evelyn Ryan and her husband Ronald, a sister-in-law Doris Fagan, and a brother-in-law Donald Sayah and companion Shirley Mock. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Church in Altona. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
