Eric T Reid

Eric T. Reid, 39, of Rascoe Road, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Monday December 19, 2011 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 20, 1972 the son of Ronald and Judith (Rowbotham) Reid. Eric graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1991. He worked at various jobs in the area before becoming a Mental Health Technician at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Eric enjoyed playing hockey, golfing and cooking on the grill. He took great pride in his family and loved spending time with them and friends. Some of his favorite pass times were watching his children play hockey and helping them with their homework. Eric was always smiling, joking and was liked by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his father Ronald Reid and father-in-law Claude Coulman. Eric is survived by wife of twelve years Darcy (Coulman) Reid, two children, Tyler (9) and Morgan (8) Reid all of Plattsburgh. His mother Judith Reid of Plattsburgh, two brothers, Scott Reid his wife Karen of Essex Junction, VT and Michael Reid and his wife Stephanie of Colchester, VT; his nieces and nephews, Cassidy Reid, Emma and Nick Urbhan, Lillie Reid and Sarah Poirier; his uncles and aunts, Dennis and Sally Reid of Peru, David and Patricia Reid of Toledo, OH, Janet Reid of Essex, VT, Susan and Leo Connick of Beekmantown, Cornell Rowbotham and his companion Bruce Ducharme of Las Vegas, NV and Parker Rowbotham of ME, his mother-in-law Genevieve Coulman of Merrill and two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Melissa and Dennis Poirer of Chateaugay and Alece and Brian Brubaker or Carlisle, PA, his close friends, Michael Laravia, Paul Sherman, and Rob Dandrow; several cousins and close friends from hockey also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Thursday December 22, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday December 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, burial will be later next year in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
