Florence A. Lecuyer

Florence A. “Midge" Lecuyer, 89 of Plattsburgh New York passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after a brief illness with her children by her side.

She was born in Plattsburgh on July 12, 1936, the daughter of Walter and Jennie Cody.

“Midge” as she was called retired from Schonbek Lightning Co after 20 years. She was a life member of Peru VFW Post 309 auxiliary. Her favorite pastimes were traveling to St. Thomas V.I.to catch up with family, spending time with her grandchildren and being a friend to everyone she met.

She is survived by her children Kathy and Richard Dabrowski, Ricky and Lisa Lecuyer, Gaylon and Sandy Lecuyer, and Lori and Joey Cross. 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Loyal, son Louis, sisters Mabel Crossley and Pearl Sorel. Brothers Frank Cody, Jim Cody and Louis Cody.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday April 24 at 3:00 at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville, NY. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, because everyone knew she liked a party!
