Floyd James Bell passed away peacefully at CVPH, Plattsburgh on June 3, 2026, with family by his side. Floyd born July 7, 1937, was the son of the late Cora (Pellerin) and Victor Bell, Sr. He graduated from Sallaz Academy, Redford NY in 1956.

After working over 25 years at Imperial Paper Mill (1998) and the Press Republican (1992), he retired. In retirement, he spent time on the golf course swinging a club to the age of 85. He had made many memories with his longtime golf buddies, Neil, Jim and Harold and often spoke of them. Floyd for many years enjoyed watching his favorite New York Yankees play, bowling, camping and traveling in his Winnebago with his wife, Bonnie (Dufour) who he married on March 17, 1971.

Floyd leaves behind his wife, Bonnie of 55 years, his sister, Jeannette (Allan) Seymour, a son Dwight (Vikki), his daughters Denise Philo (Doug), Darcy Case (Carey), Dana Simpson, Danelle Pelkey, Deborah Howard (William) and a stepdaughter, Pamela Williams. His grandchildren, Cynamon, Mikayla, Kobe, Carissa (Richard), Ali (Tim), Luke (Markie), Shad, Seth, Brennan, Taylor (Kayleigh), Cade, and Addison. And great grandchildren, Hayes, Hinsley, Coleson, and Cam’ron plus several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Roland (Pauline) and Victor (Shirley) and his sister Joyce (Sam)Tedford.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services per his wishes. There will be a graveside ceremony on July 7, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh with a reception to follow.
