Gary P Bird

Gary P. Bird, 71 of Plattsburgh, New York, passed away on June 9, 2015 at the UVM: CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on April 28, 1944 the son of Wilfred and Reva (Pratt) Bird. Gary had a heart for racing, NASCAR and St-Eustache Racing, but the racing he enjoyed the most was cheering for his son-in-law, #61, at Airborne Speedway. In his spare time, you could find Gary on his computer. His greatest love was for his family, his grandchildren and his canine friend, Lady Bug. He is predeceased by his parents, his mother-in-law, Lou McCall, and his father-in-law, George McCall. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara, his daughters; Jamie Bromley, Julie Bird, and Nicole Wood and her husband Robin, his grandchildren; Deirdre Bird and Tyler Wood, his sister, Barbara Ryan Norcross, and several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm from the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
