Genevieve M. Corrow

Dec 31, 1933 — Jun 30, 2026

Genevieve M. Corrow (Latour) from Morrisonville, NY and formerly of Plattsburgh, NY went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on June 30, 2026 at the age of 92.

Genevieve was born on December 31, 1933 to Victor and Mabel (St. Louis) Latour of Plattsburgh, NY. She married George C. Corrow on December 24, 1950 at St. Peter's Church. They were married for 43 years before his passing in July of 1994.

Genevieve attended D’Youville Academy and Plattsburgh High School. She held jobs at F. W. Woolworth & Fisherman Department Stores for many years until she had her Children. Because of her love of all children, she started babysitting for many children over the years as well as taking in Foster Children. Once her children were grown up, she worked for Oak Street School as a Noon Hour Aide. When her Grandchildren came along, she would babysit for them as well. She was known by many as Mimma. Once they started school, she went to work for Montgomery Wards Department Store where she worked for many years until she retired in 1991 to care for her husband, George.

Genevieve was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed!!! She loved to cook, clean, read novels and magazines, word search books, and crocheting. She spent many years playing Bingo with the many friends that she made over the years. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Genevieve is predeceased by her husband, George, her parents, Victor and Mabel Latour, her sister, Bessie Drasco, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her foster son, Craig Mosher.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Nancy Berard (Gregory), George Jr. (Rolenda) Corrow, John (Mary Anne) Corrow, and Deborah Boswell (Brad). Her grandchildren Kathleen and Jessica Berard; Adam, Patrick, and Joseph Corrow; Scott Bushey; John Paul, Jeremy, Josh, and Jennilee Corrow; Ashlee Boswell; and 16 great grandchildren.

Genevieve’s Family would like to give thanks to all the staff and Dr. Orelus on the Chestnut Grove floor at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home for the care they gave her while there. A special thank you goes to Zoey, Riley, Cassie, Jacob, Kim, Ontario, Vicky, Jessica, Brenda, Emily, and Monique to whom she held close to her heart.

In honoring Genevieve’s wishes there will be no calling hours. There will be a private viewing for her immediate family members.
