Geoffrey A Brenno

Plattsburgh Mr. Geoffrey A. Brenno, 34, of Margaret St., Plattsburgh, NY passed away Sunday, May 23, 2016. He was born in Norfolk, Va. on November 30, 1981 the son of Jeffrey and Robin Joy (Showen) Brenno. Geoffrey was a resident for the past 16 years and was an active member of the community. He was a substitute teacher for the Plattsburgh City School District and was a volunteer coach for the City of Plattsburgh Recreation Center. He enjoyed sports and was a New York Rangers and San Francisco 49ers Fan. He was a leader, an individual who left his footprint, his mark, his positive attitude by role-modeling the benefit of living in the present, not sweating the little things, and always staying positive. He is survived by his mother and step father; Robin Joy and Alfred Snider of Ogdensburg, his father; Jeff Brenno of Ogdensburg, his cherished Uncle Butch and Aunt Billie-Jo Brothers from Ogdensburg, his siblings; Nick Brenno and companion Sara Borawski of Syracuse, Tanesha Brenno and companion Jeremy Barkley of Plattsburgh, Lanie and Chris Folsom of Kansas, Frankki Massia of Ogdensburg, his step-siblings; Doug Snider, Christi Kenniston, Lisa Woodard, his maternal grandfather; Lloyd Showen of Florida, his paternal grandmother Elaine Brenno of Ogdensburg, his nephews; Braxton and Trenton of Plattsburgh, and several aunts, uncles , nieces, nephews, cousins and his all the friends who were considered family to Geoffrey here in Plattsburgh. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Joy Showen and paternal grandfather William Brenno. Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A celebration of his life will follow at Olive Ridley's in Plattsburgh. Interment will be in the Ogdensburg Cemetery on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow at V.F.W. Post 2936 in Ogdensburg, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to a Go Fund Me page started in his memory.
