Plattsburgh NY — George E. Fountain passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family,

Son of the late Stella (LaTour) and George E. Fountain, George was a lifelong resident of

Plattsburgh. He graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in 1956 and began his career at

Conner’s Pharmacy. He became a Pharmacy Tech while working at Baker’s Pharmacy, and when

Bay Barbershop Chorus with Jim Varno and Lucian Bernard, and he volunteered at Mission of

Hope with Sister Debbie.

George’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He married Alice (Ryan), who was the

love of his life, in 1957. Together they had seven children: Sue (Paul) Williams, Patty (Dana)

Brand, Daniel (Eugenia) Fountain, George Fountain, Mark (Tamara) Fountain, Christopher
