George P "Taters" Trombley

George P. Trombley (Taters), age 74, of Morrisonville, NY, died at Champlain Valley Physician Hospital on January 20, 2016 due to complications from surgery. He was born on January 5, 1942, in Plattsburgh, NY, and married Barbara TenEyck on March 24th 1962. George retired from Georgia Pacific in 2004, after 40 years of service. George loved cars, fishing, gambling, and traveling with his wife to Ireland, the Pacific Northwest, Las Vegas, California, Maine, and Florida. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara whom he was married to for 53 years and their four children; Troy from Rena, Nevada, Doug (Phyllis) from Woodbridge, VA, Roxanne (Trombley) Timberlake (Chris) from Vienna, VA, and S. Michael (Barbara Hance ) from Saranac, NY, a daughter-in-law Cyndi Trombley from Ambler, PA, and four grandchildren S. John Trombley (20), Shannon Trombley (17), Eli Timberlake (17), and Jena Timberlake (16). He is also survived by two sisters Linda Blessing of Mohnton, PA and Sherry DeMarais of Plattsburgh, NY. He is pre-deceased by his brother Peter Burowsky, his grandfather George Trombley who raised him, and his sister Jeanie Fowler. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 26, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at the columbarium at St. Peter's Cemetery later in the year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, National Office, 225 N.
