Geri-Lynn Martinez

Geri-Lynn (Brewer) Martinez, 67, of Saranac, NY passed away February 20th, 2026 at CVPH Medical Center following a courageous battle with Grade 4 Glioblastoma.
She was born on December 29th, 1958 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas, the daughter of Daniel Brewer Sr. and Theresa (Gilmet) Brewer.

For many years, Geri-Lynn enjoyed working in the food services industry and went on to retire from Clinton Correctional Facility in 2015. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and being a grandma.

Geri-Lynn is survived by the love of her life and husband of 44 years, Anthony Martinez, her daughter, Shannon Martinez, her granddaughter, Annalise Cascino, her siblings, Daniel (Colleen) Brewer Jr., Donna (Tom) Filger, Jeffrey (Karla) Brewer, Trena (Mark) Young, many nieces and nephews and of course, her furry daughter Evie and her furry granddaughter Remi.
She is predeceased by her parents, Daniel Brewer Sr. and Theresa Brewer and her son, Aaron Martinez.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 26th, 2026 from 4pm-6pm at Brown’s Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville on Friday, February 27th, 2026 at 11am. Burial will be in the Spring at St. Alexander’s Cemetery in Morrisonville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Geri-Lynn’s honor can be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
