Gisela Lange passed away peacefully at her home on December 19th, 2025. She was born on August 28th, 1938 in Berlin, Germany, and lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, resilience and a generous heart.
Gisela was preceded in death by her husband, Horst Lange. In her retirement, following her 40 year career at TWA, she found great joy living in her farmhouse overlooking the mountains, where she was most content surrounded by nature and the quiet comforts of home. By her side was her cherished dachshund, Bruce, who brought her constant companionship and happiness.
Known for her kind-hearted nature, Gisela had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. No one ever left her home hungry- she was always eager to feed others and share what she had. Her wonderful sense of humor, caring spirit, and genuine love for people made her a joy to be around. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be remembered fondly for her warmth, laughter, and generous soul.
She is survived by her niece Christiane Löwe of Germany and two great nieces. Gisela's memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services. A private spring burial will be held next year. Any donations can be made to the Hospice of the North Country.
