Plattsburgh Mrs.Gloria J. Brown, 71, of the Brown Road, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Thursday January 4, 2018 at the UVM CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Cadyville, New York on February 25, 1946, the daughter of the late John and Dorothea (Morrow) Mytych. Gloria had a passion for animals, especially for horses. She was known for taking in older horses and spoiling them as they lived out their days. She was once an avid runner; she still managed to get in her walks everyday she could. Gloria had a love for muscle cars, owning several Camaros and Corvettes, but her favorite was her 1973 Stingray. Upon retirement as a medical secretary for Dr. Lacki, Gloria enjoyed the outdoors and also continued working part time with her family for Albert Brown, Inc., delivering home heating oil. She was predeceased by her parents, and special cousin Donna Payant. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Wayne Brown Sr., their children; Wayne "Buck" Brown Jr. and his wife Donna, and Melissa "Muffy" Brown and her companion Jessica Facteau, her grandchildren; Waylon and Ariel Brown, her sisters; Fran Curtis and Veronica Morrow, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 1:00pm-2:30 pm at the Brown Funeral Home Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm in Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
