Beekmantown Mrs. Gloria Jean Duso, 62, of the Durand Road passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her home with her loving family by her side while under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh, New York on November 18, 1948 the daughter of Arthur and Elsie (Hayes) Trudo, Sr. Gloria was employed on the Main Campus of CVPH Medical Center and the Ambulatory Services at Hannaford Plaza. She was a proud member of SEIU and had been a contract negotiator for her union. She was an accomplished quilter having made quilts for family, friends and newborn children. Gloria also enjoyed gardening and created a serene garden at her home she named the Garden of Love. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and she adored her grandchildren. Gloria was a member of the Sunshine Gals Red Hat Society where she was known as "Glory Bee" and she was a member of St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Elsie Trudo, her siblings Roy Trudo, Arthur Trudo, Jr. and Elizabeth Trudo in infancy. Gloria is survived by her husband of forty four years Stephen T. Duso, Sr. of Beekmantown a daughter Michelle Duso and her partner Julie Brown and their children Justice Malachi, Dylan John and Cory Michael of Cranston, Rhode Island, one son Stephen T. Duso II and his wife Sharon Kelly and their children Stephan Anthony, LeJon Mykel and Dante Joseph of Beekmantonwn, her siblings Beverly Trudo of Plattsburgh, Charles "Butch" Trudo of Cadyville, Linda Bonsie of Altona, Cynthia Trudo-Hamilton and her husband David of Peru, Michael Trudo and his wife Laurie Booth-Trudo of Plattsburgh, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and her canine companion Angel. Calling hours will be Friday, August, 26, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St, Plattsburgh, New York. Knights of Columbus Council #6067 will meet at 4:00 p.m. for services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville.
