Plattsburgh Mr. Herman A. Bell, 86, of the Wallace Hill Road, Plattsburgh passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his home with his loving family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh, New York on September 18, 1926 the son of Orville A. and Mildred C. (Renadette) Bell. Herman attended Mount Assumption Institute. He and his brother Clifton took over the family dairy farm and he was a dairy farmer all of his life. Herman was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 7248 Treadwells Mills and he was a member of St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter Debra Conners, a brother Clifton Bell and two sisters Gertrude Provost and Loretta Rabideau. Herman is survived by his wife Valida A. (Trombley) Bell of Plattsburgh. They were married May 3, 1949 at St. Alexander's Church. He is also survived by a son Randy Bell and his wife Lynn of Plattsburgh, three daughters; Barbara Recore and her husband John of Plattsburgh, Linda Daniels and her husband David of Plattsburgh, Sandra Boslet and her husband Edward of Plattsburgh, a son-in-law Brian Conners of Plattsburgh, a sister Winifred King of Plattsburgh, a sister-in-law Deanna Bell of Plattsburgh, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. Interment will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
