Irene V Racette (Boulerice)

Irene V. Racette, passed away on Friday, December 8, on her 84th birthday, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Mooers, NY on December 8, 1933, the daughter of Wilfred and Bertha (Menard) Boulerice. Irene graduated from Mooers Central School. She married Donald L. Racette on June 4, 1955. Irene worked for General Electric, Robinson Insurance, General Dynamics and Lee's Appliance; following retirement, she managed an apartment complex and motel in Florida. She was a faithful member of St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. She enjoyed being outside; camping, fishing, boating, and golfing. In her free time, she often could be found painting and sewing. She and her husband enjoyed spending winters in Florida and Myrtle Beach. She will be missed most for her great sense of humor. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 happy years, their children; Jeffrey Racette and his wife Patti of Beekmantown, Cheryl Stasiewski and her husband Allen of Milwaukee, WI, Bonnie Lilly and her husband Thomas of Averill Park, NY, Scott Racette and his wife Julie of Port Kent, NY, and Pamela Barber of Peru, her grandchildren; Jeffrey, Jared, Jessica, Danny, David, Abby, Erica, Christine, James, Jaysen, Nicole, and Jocelyn, her 15 great-grandchildren, her brother Dickie Boulerice and his wife Pam, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, Gerald Boulerice, Gilbert and JoAnne Boulerice, Ruth and Clifford Brassard, Marjorie and David Dunckle, Bernadette and Dick Trombly. There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at St. John's Church. Burial will be at St. Mary's of the Lake Cemetery at 2:00 pm. A special thank you for the care and love she received from her brother-in-law, Ken Racette and his wife Kathy, her sister-in-law Ceil Johnson, the Staff of Hospice of the North Country, Tammy, Becky, Katie, Becky, and especially Jill.
