Plattsburgh Our brother, cousin, uncle and friend, James Matthew DiFulvio, 50, of Plattsburgh, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 following a lengthy illness. Jimmy was born on December 3, 1959 in Plattsburgh, the son of the late James and Jeanne (Lucy) DiFulvio. He attended Plattsburgh High School, and then went on to apprentice and eventually became a journeyman for Houston Lighting and Power in Texas. This was a career he took very seriously and worked countless hours to return power to Houston and the surrounding areas after the devastating Hurricane Alicia. He eventually retired from his career while living in Vermont. One of Jimmy's hobbies was foosball, and he traveled about the country playing in many tournaments. His trophies were many, and his losses few. He eventually went on to win the NY State Foosball Championship. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. When Jimmy was in better health, he hosted large lobster bakes at his house in Westport where he invited friends and family from all over. Good food and good friends made for special memories. He was happiest when his family was together and proud that he could show them a good time. Jimmy is survived by his two sisters; Donna St. Germain of Queensbury, N.Y., and Debbie DiFulvio of Plattsburgh; cousins Gil Murray and Jim Murray; several nieces and nephews: Keela St. Germain Beavers, David St. Germain, Linda LaHart Johnston, Chip LaHart, Laura LaHart, Andrew Bouchard and Matthew Bouchard, and his brother in law Thomas P. LaHart. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Trudy LaHart. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh. (518) 561-3980. Online condolences and memorial candles may be offered at www.brownfuneralhomeinc.com.
