James C. Goddeau

James C. Goddeau, 83, of Plattsburgh, NY passed away Monday October 20, 2025 at Meadowbrook Healthcare and Nursing Facility in Plattsburgh. Born August 15, 1942 to the late Clarence and Gladys (Favro) Goddeau.

James served in the Marine Corps from 1961-1965. James enjoyed NASCAR racing, was an avid NY Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays fan, and also enjoyed spending winters at his Florida home.

He is survived by his loving companion Carole McGivney, his brother Allen Goddeau (Pattie), his sister Cindy Goddeau, his brother Steve Goddeau (Mary), his sister Meribeth Goddeau-Williams (Bill), his sister Michelle Goddeau (Walt), along with several nieces and nephews.

Including his parents, he is predeceased by his son Scott Goddeau, brother Thomas Goddeau, his sister Suzie Gallagher, and his brother Peter Goddeau.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 11AM - 12:30 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh followed by a service with Father Clement as the officiant.

A Graveside Service will take place at the old St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dannemora, NY on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Mike Jablonski officiating.
