Mrs. Janet M. (Bennett) Stahl, 62, of Milford, PA passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at her home after a courageous battle with lung, breast and bone cancer. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on September 7, 1950 the daughter of Melvin E. and Ethelyn "Lyn" (Wylie) Bennett, Sr. Janet was a graduate of Beekmantown Central School and Board of Cooperative Education School with a degree in Cosmetology, Class of 1970. She received her New York State License to practice in 1970. She had worked as head dry cleaner at Vogles Dry Cleaners in Milton, PA. Janet loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed helping other children and donating to Toys for Tots. Janet was an avid bingo player and was an excellent baker. She married John Stahl on October 2, 1999. She was predeceased by her mother Lyn on March 6, 2000 and her father Mel on February 9, 2013. Janet is survived by her husband of thirteen years John Stahl of Milton, PA, her sons Paul and Thomas Epley both of Mifflinburg, PA and her daughter Carrie Hamm and her husband Brent of Montoursville, PA, her grandchildren whom she loved dearly Evan and Emily Hamm, her siblings, Helen Bodnar and her husband Robert of the Villages, FL, Lynne Lowe and her husband James of Williamsport, PA, Melvin Bennett, Jr. and his wife Carol of Las Vegas, NV, Janice Butler and her husband Thomas of Beekmantown, Gail Soldato and her husband Donald of CO, Guy Bennett and his wife Cathy of Jersey Shore, PA, Warren J. Bennett and his wife Kathy of Plattsburgh, several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 800 Mulberry St., Montoursville, PA with Rev. John Manno presiding.
