Jason Sawyer was born on July 2, 1979, in Saranac Lake, New York, and passed away on August 20, 2026.
Jason was a welder by trade, but he was also a creative person who enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed making things and figuring out how things worked.

Jason loved nature, animals, astronomy, and the night sky. He enjoyed his solitude and found peace in quiet moments, often appreciating the simple things that surrounded him, especially the sunrise and sunset. Nature was where he was most happy and at peace.

One of the greatest joys in Jason's life was his son, Sonny, whom he loved dearly. Sonny brought him so much happiness and will forever be an important part of Jason's legacy.

Jason is survived by his mother, Cathy Burdick; his father, Bruce Sawyer; his beloved son, Sonny Sawyer; his brother, James Sawyer; his grandmother, Mickey Lambe; and his nephews, Noble and Preston. He also leaves behind several cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.

Jason was deeply loved and will be missed by those who knew him. Though his time here was far too short, the memories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of his family.
