Jean M. Moore

Dec 22, 1950 — Jun 27, 2026

Plattsburgh, NY

Jean Moore was born December 22, 1950 to Frank and Anna Kovaric. She grew up in Schenectady, NY and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. She graduated from the Albany College of Pharmacy in 1973 ranked first amongst her five year classmates.

Jean met her husband Gary while in college and they were married December 9, 1973. Despite the gas rationing going on at the time, every invited guest was able to join and celebrate.

After briefly working for Peoples Drug in Virginia, Jean and Gary relocated to his hometown of Plattsburgh to start a family, eventually settling into a house on Cogan Avenue. Jean worked part time for CVPH and Condo Pharmacy until purchasing Condo Pharmacy with Gary in late 1993. Jean and Gary enjoyed working with one another and she ultimately worked at Condo Pharmacy for 50 years, serving multiple generations of patients.

Jean was a member of the former St. John’s, now Holy Cross, Parish in Plattsburgh. She was an avid fan of whatever team her sons were playing on or supporting each season. For decades Jean opened her home to friends of her sons from near and far for food and fellowship. She supported Steven and David in all of their undertakings and was simply the best Mom any son could ever ask for.

Welcoming Jean to Heaven are her husband Gary, her parents Frank and Anna Kovaric, Gary’s parents Francis and Ruth (Bud and Goldie) Moore, her sister-in law Lisa Kelleher, and her brother-in law Robert Moore.

Jean is survived by her two sons, Steven (Kristin) Moore and David Moore both of Plattsburgh as well a granddaughter (Elodie) with another granddaughter on the way. Jean also leaves a sister Susan (Jim) Boel of Schenectady, as well as sisters-in law Cathy (Tom) Stewart of Brentwood, TN, and Mary Anne (Tim) Carter of Plattsburgh, and brothers-in law John Moore of Plattsburgh and Patrick Kelleher of Cazenovia. Additional survivors include nieces and nephews Theresa (Edwin) Eichlin of Albany, Colleen Myers of Albany, Emily Hetzler (Ian) of Portland, OR, Kaleen (Jack) Sessler of Cazenovia, Kelsey (Mario) Neyland of Plattsburgh, Lauren Stewart of Brentwood, TN, Ean (Charlotte) Kelleher of New York, Jennelle Carter (fiancé Scotty) of Nashville, TN, Sarah (Spencer) Phillips of Atlanta, GA, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Aubrey Wheeler, Dawn, and the team from CVPH Family Medicine; Arin and the team from HCR Homecare; and the team from KabaFusion for the support and care that they provided to Jean.

The family would also like to thank Jean’s former colleagues at Condo Pharmacy for their dedication to the patients and community that were, and are, so important to Gary, Jean, and the boys.

A special thank you to the current Condo Pharmacy team, Carrie, Jason, Dave S., John, Colleen, Chris, Christine, and Leighann for your support of Steve and Dave during Jean’s illness. The greater Plattsburgh community is lucky to have such dedicated professionals working on its behalf.
