Joan M Grassi

Plattsburgh Joan M. Grassi, 76, formerly of Sheila Avenue, Plattsburgh passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, New York on April 19, 1939 the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (Rock) Connolly. Joan had worked as Inmate Records Coordinator at Camp Gabriels retiring in 2001 after thirty one years of service. She enjoyed skiing, swimming, boating, flower gardening, spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Alexander's Church. Joan was predeceased by her parents Walter and Dorothy Connolly, her brother Ernest Rock and a niece Amber LaVarnway. She is survived by her daughter Anne M. Rock and her husband Richard of Keeseville, a granddaughter Ashley Rock of Saranac, her brother James Connolly and his wife Diana of Peru, several nieces, nephews and her canine companion Hershee. Calling hours will be Sunday, September, 27 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2015 at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. Interment will be at St. Alexander's Cemetery.
