Joan T Guimond

Plattsburgh Mrs. Joan T. Guimond, 76, of the Wallace Hill Road, Plattsburgh, New York passed away, Friday, November 12, 2010 at her home. She was born in Troy, New York on July 20, 1934 the daughter of Russell W. and Mae M. (Bennett) Brickey. Joan worked at the Desgrobian Unit at Mary Fletcher Hospital in Burlington, Vermont and Sacred Heart Nursing Home and Vilas Home, retiring from the NCO Club at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. She is predeceased by her parents and her husband James Guimond. Joan is survived by her children Robert Tourangeau, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Vermont, Ann Schmelzle and her husband James of IL, Linda Burnell and her husband Joseph of Plattsburgh, Mark W. Tourangeau and his wife Debbie of Plattsburgh, John Tourangeau and his wife Sue of Plattsburgh, Rose Baker and her husband Barney of West Chazy, Russell Tourangeau of Newburgh, 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday, November 15, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Pat Huggins of the Living Water Baptist Church in Champlain, New York officiating.
