Joan Miller of Plattsburgh NY passed away on October 9, 2025 after a series of illness that resulted in her decline.
Joan was born on August 15, 1934 in Plattsburgh New York. She grew up in Plattsburgh and attended local schools where she met Richard Miller Jr. and was married for 64 years. Through his Air Force service, as a dedicated wife and mother, they traveled the world. Joan always reflected on her time overseas fondly.
Later, Joan would be known as “Nana” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her siblings as her closest friends. They enjoyed winters in Alabama where Joan volunteered as a hair stylist for senior women.
She was predeceased by siblings; Barbara Mason, Kathleen Seymour, Tina Way, Betty Jandreau, William Guilbo. Also predeceased by her husband of 64 years; Richard Miller Jr.
Joan is survived by two children; Richard J. Miller, III and his wife, Karen Boule of Plattsburgh, NY; and Belinda Snell and her husband, John S. Snell of Alexandria, VA; four grandchildren; Nathan Miller of Enfield, NH; Brenna Miller of Plattsburgh, NY; Stephen Snell of Virginia Beach, VA; and Ryan Snell of Millersville, MD; nine great grand children; Kayler Grizzle, Syrie Miller, Delaney Mix, Rowen Miller, Wyatt Snell, Olivia Miller, Rowan Snell, Daniel Miller, Whitley Snell; a brother Terry Guilbo and wife Linda Guilbo; a sister Sandy Bezio.
