Joan M. Przybycien

Joan Przybycien passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 surrounded by family at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. She was born on June 30, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. Joan is loved and remembered by many.

Joan graduated from Holyoke Community College with a degree in accounting. She worked at Baystate Medical for many years before retiring. Joan needed to stay busy, so during retirement, she worked at State Street Dry Cleaning and was well liked by her customers. Joan thoroughly enjoyed bowling and golfing throughout her entire life. She was the happiest when she was traveling, bowling, golfing, or spending time with her family.

Joan is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Mirolli, of West Springfield, MA, her sons, Dino (and Lisa) Panetta of Chazy, NY, Richard Panetta of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Panetta of Springfield, MA, and Anthony Panetti of West Chazy, NY. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, Aimee, Candice, Dina, Brice, Katie, Kimberly, Nicholas, Raymond, Celia, Anthony, GinaMarie, Vincenzo, Mia, Joe, and her great grandchildren. Her grandchildren remember her spunky, bubbly attitude and having fun when they would go bowling every year together or playing card games together.

Joan is predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Przybycien, her parents James and Ida Rossi, her three brothers Peter, Paul, and Stanley Rossi, and step daughter, Joanna Garcia.

Joan will be laid to rest eternally with her husband, Joseph at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA at a later date.
