Desaw Grube Silse, 90, formerly of Robert Long Apts. and most recently Evergreen Valley Nursing Home, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at the CVPH Medical Center with family by her side. She was born in Hudson, New Hampshire on December 6, 1921 the daughter of Frank and Lena (Coon) Desaw. Lillian enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and country music. She was a member of St. Peter's Church. Lillian was predeceased by her parents, her husband Wilfred Silse, a son Sidney Grube, two brothers, Frank and George Desaw, and two sisters, Marion Garrow Roushia and Helen McCort. She is survived by one son Roger Grube and his wife Carolyn of Selkirk, NY, two daughters, Sharron Rock and her husband Harlan of Schuyler Falls, Judy Forget and her husband Richard of Plattsburgh, a daughter-in-law Barbara Grube of Plattsburgh, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, December 16, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends wishing may have Masses said in her memory.
