Mae E. Campbell, 95 of Plattsburgh, passed away on March 18, 2018 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 16, 1922, one of thirteen children to Frederick and Mary (Trombley) Gowett. Mae worked at General Electric in Schenectady NY prior to World War II. She married Adelbert Campbell on October 3, 1942 in Florida while he was serving in the United States Army Air Corps. She moved back to the North Country while Adelbert was overseas. Upon his honorable discharge they moved to Plattsburgh. After raising their children she began working at First Albany Corporation as a secretary for her husband. A number of years later she became a Real Estate Sales Person for Century 21 in Plattsburgh. She was a parishioner at St. Peter's Church and volunteered with the bereavement committee. Mae was predeceased by her parents and her husband. She is survived by four children and their spouses; James Campbell and his wife Janice of Colchester, VT, Cynthia Kielon and her husband David of Penfield, NY, Gregory Campbell and his wife Christine of Keeseville, and Patricia Saskowicz and her husband William of Glenville, NY, fourteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, a brother Wallace Gowett and his wife Alice of Port Orange, FL, several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Thursday March 22, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of ChristianBurial will be held on Friday March 23, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be later in the year in Hermon, NY.
