Marjorie Rita LaRose passed into the next life on January 1, 2023 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center after three days of faithful visits, tributes, and prayers from family and friends. She is the daughter of Fred and Colombe (Le Juene) LaRose.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Dora Mae LaRocque, Agnes (Arthur) Lovece, Blondine (Nick) Peters, Anita (Jake) Reynolds, Freda (Jean) Stone, her cousin; Joanne Dougherty, her niece Patricia Lingham, and her great-nephew Brian Lovece and great-niece Angela Stone.
Marjorie’s mother passed when she was 9 and she lost her father at 16. After this she entered the workforce while completing her education. She worked at Plattsburgh Motor Service for many decades, retiring around the age of 75. Marjorie dedicated her entire life to the service of others and God. She cared for her family and friends tirelessly. She lived a life filled with grace in spite of hardships, unlimited kindness and appreciation for her blessings. She had a strong abiding faith in God that sustained her throughout her life. She offered goodwill and fellowship to everyone. She loved to tell funny stories and always kept us entertained. She had a sharp mind throughout her 94 years and a memory better than most half of her age. She was truly the best of us.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Debbie (Dan) Dupree, Marlene (David) Gagnier, Glenn (Christine) Reynolds, Sue (Paul) Laramee, Brenda Lamoy, Brian Stone, Steve (Melinda) Stone, AJ (Carol) Lovece, and Nancy Davidson as well as many great-great-great nieces and nephews and several friends.
In lieu of flowers, Marjorie had requested donations be made to a charity of one’s choice. If you do not have a charity close to your heart or are not able to make a donation please do something for someone less fortunate than yourself – any small act of kindness to honor her memory.
