Mark Graves

Altona Mark S. Graves, 55, of Miner Farm Road, Altona, NY, passed away on Monday September 5, 2016 at Tuft Medical Center in Boston, MA. He was born in Plattsburgh on November 12, 1960 the son of Ralph and Pauline (Peryea) Graves, Sr. Mark attended Northern Adirondack Central School and soon after began working at G and G Tire Company in Plattsburgh, retiring in 2008 when he became ill. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and coaching softball. Mark was predeceased by his father-in-law Eugene Harris, his mother-in-law Elizabeth Harris and a brother-in-law Michael Harris. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Jane (Harris) Graves of Altona, their children; Crystal Graves of Merrill, NY, Sheena Graves of Merrill, NY and Kyle Graves of Altona, his grandchildren; McKayla, Avery, Aliveya, Abagale, Abel and Bryce, his parents Ralph and Pauline Graves, Sr., his sibling; Ralph Garves, Jr. and his wife Sharron of Altona, Nancy Myatt and her husband Darrell of Altona, Tina Charland and her husband Norman of Lyon Mountain, Wayne Graves of Altona and Julie Castine and her husband Dennis of Champlain, his in-laws, Theodore Harris of Churbusco, NY, Eugenia LaClair and her husband Steven of Merrill, NY, Amy Garceau and her husband Mike of Merrill several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday September 13, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at Holy Angels Church in Altona. Donations in his memory may be made to the family.
