Plattsburgh Marshall R. LaDuke, 83, of Route 9, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Tuesday Nov. 17, 2015 at his home under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Standish, NY on Sept. 22, 1932 the son of George and Edith (Coryer) LaDuke. Marshall graduated from Lyon Mountain High School . He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Marshall worked as a Corrections Officer for the New York State Department of Corrections for 36 and a half years, retiring from Clinton Correctional in 1992. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Marshall was predeceased by his parents, his wife Barbara LaDuke and several siblings and their spouses; Bernard and Veronica LaDuke, Francis and Dee Dee LaDuke, Kate LaDuke, Clifford and Ellen LaDuke, Viola and Al Miller . He is survived by four children; Mary Lloyd of Plattsburgh, Norman (April) LaDuke of Keeseville, Bradley LaDuke of Redford and Margaret (Ziad) Assi of Tampa, FL, Six grandchildren; Jessica Lloyd, Thomas LaDuke, Lauryn LaDuke, Elizabeth LaDuke, Reyan Assi and Aalayah Assi, his companion Luella Drollette of Plattsburgh, his brother and sister in law Ronald and Genevieve LaDuke of Plattsburgh, several niece and nephews also survive him and his dog Sofie. Calling hours will be held on Friday Nov. 20, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Nov. 21, 2015 at 11:00 am at Church of the Assumption in Redford. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Donations in Marshall's memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh.
